Thrive

The Thrive Approach

We are delighted to be able to offer provision in school that supports pupils to succeed in all aspects of their learning from boosters in phonics, mathematics and PiXL learning therapies to supporting children’s emotional learning and success through the Thrive Approach.

The Thrive Approach combines neuroscience and child development to provide a powerful way of working with children and young people that supports optimal social and emotional development.

In addition, the Thrive approach works a targeted way with children and young people who may have struggled with difficult life events to help them re-engage with life and learning.

We are pleased to now have trained Thrive practitioners who support pupils across the school and additionally offer a bespoke curriculum in our recently established Swan Class.

Forest School

Pupils in EYFS are offered sessions of Forest School. These sessions promote independence, resilience and seek to build children’s confidence and connection with their natural environment.

This is done through activities such as wood craft, art, play, team building and challenges.
