In Year 5, our Discovery Curriculum includes learning about: Ancient Greece, Living Things and their Habitats, Mayans, Earth and Space, Forces, Latitude and Longitude, Continents and Countries, Making Stuffed Animals, Building Bridges, Making Healthy Choices, French animals, Life in France, Every Picture Tells A Story. We use Accelerated Reader to support our reading in school and at home. We take reading quizzes to help us deepen our comprehension.
To support our multiplication and division fluency we use programs such as Times Tables Rock Stars to help us practise in school and at home.
We use Class Dojo to support home/school communication. We post updates on the School and class story and parents can see their child’s portfolio and message their class teacher.
